What are Connecticut’s special education students facing this year? Last year’s health precautions have eased along with the pandemic. But the pandemic’s impact on special education students still remains. Teacher and staff shortages interfere with delivering IEP services. The achievement gap that was caused by the pandemic still exists and hasn’t been closed. Student emotional health is at crisis levels in our schools.
