Skip to main contentLearning that your child has special needs can be an overwhelming and lonely time. PATH is here to help! With our Parent Support Program, parents who contact us for support are matched with a “veteran” parent—someone who most often has a child with a similar disability. These one-to-one parent matches offer a perspective from someone who has “been there” and understands what you are going through. Our parent support matches are here to listen and provide informational and emotional support when needed. If you are in need of someone to talk to, PATH is here to listen.
Requests for emotional support are our top priority.
To contact us Parent Support or to take our Parent Support Training, contact Marni McNiff at mmcniff@pathct.org or by phone at 1-800-399-PATH (7284).
Are you a parent of a child with a disability who would like to offer support to other parents? Join us for our Parent Support Training where you will learn to provide informational and emotional support to parents with children that have been newly diagnosed with special needs. Upon completing this training, you will be matched with a parent of a child with a similar disability where you can be a source of strength for families raising a child with special needs.
