KINDHEARTED LOCAL TEEN HELPS FAMILIES OF CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS, Local Charity, PATH Parent to Parent/Family Voices of CT. (PATH/FVCT)
When Samantha Nuss’ mom became involved in PATH/FVCT, Sammi was inspired to get involved to help other families like her own. Sammi who loves children, has a gift for designing and making bracelets, and as anyone who knows her will tell you is always helping, has found a way to combine all three to help this charity which is very close to her heart.

This organization is special to Sammi because she and her siblings all have disabilities and she wants other teens like herself to know that disabilities don’t have to limit you, or define you, she believes that we all have special gifts – we just have to find them.
Sammi sells her beautiful hand-crafted one-of-a-kind bracelets and donates 50% of all her profits to PATH. In a recent fundraiser held in Bethany, Sammi raised $355 for the organization and is seen here presenting her check to the Board at their recent Annual Retreat.
PATH Parent to Parent/Family Voices of Connecticut is a network of families providing informational and emotional support to others who have a child with developmental or health related needs. PATH/FVCT reaches out to help strengthen families coping with similar situations in Connecticut, and the organizations that serve them to reduce isolation, empower families as advocates for their children and reaffirm their values as parents and caregivers.
“PATH’s services are provided free of charge to families, but there is a considerable cost that is associated with providing these life-changing services and they rely greatly on generous donors like Sammi” says Carmina Cirioli one of PATH’s Co-Executive directors.
Sammi recently opened her own Etsy store, “Sammi’s Sparkles”, which was named by winning competition entry from local Beacon Falls resident, Martha Melville.

Sammi is also a member of CT Kids as Self Advocates (CT KASA) and a wonderful inspiration to her peers with and with out special needs/disabilities.
